giro

The assignment, Progretto Ricardo, was to make a souvenir. In any form, a souvenir serves as a placeholder or a reservoir for memories and experiences. They can be commodified trinkets or items of extremely personal reasoning and craftsmanship.

I chose to make a book. I titled it giro, which, in Italian, means 'to go around'. It has pictures that I've taken with my two medium format cameras on various adventures in Italy. There are even a few blank pages left; the grand adventure is not yet over (is it ever?).
